Sector: Building services
Product / system type: Packaged plant room — irrigation booster set
Project overview
The client required a full replacement of their irrigation booster system following years of declining performance. The existing setup had become unreliable, and remedial repairs were no longer a viable long-term solution. A complete redesign was needed to restore consistent operation.

The challenge
The site had experienced ongoing operational issues over several years. The existing system's performance had deteriorated to the point where continued maintenance could not guarantee reliability. Any replacement solution needed to account for the specific site conditions, constraints and access requirements identified during the initial assessment.
KGN Pillinger's approach
Site survey
A full site survey was carried out to assess the existing conditions, identify constraints and document system shortcomings. This provided the design team with the detailed information needed to develop a solution tailored to the site.
Design and manufacture
Based on the survey findings, KGN Pillinger worked with the client to redesign the system as a bespoke packaged plant solution. All pipework runs were laser cut and fabricated in-house in 316L stainless steel, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the installation. Strict quality control was maintained throughout manufacturing.

Delivery, installation and commissioning
Delivery, installation and commissioning were coordinated to meet the project programme, with the full scope completed within the 20-week period.
Project summary
KGN Pillinger delivered a full turnkey replacement of an irrigation booster system, resolving longstanding reliability issues. The project covered site survey, design, bespoke manufacture in 316L stainless steel, installation and commissioning, completed on programme within 20 weeks.
