One size doesn't fit every water company
We understand that no two water companies have the same requirements. Each utility operates to its own WIMES specifications, standards, and operational preferences, which means a standardised booster set is not always the most effective or compliant solution. When a standardised solution is not preferable, we have the engineering know how to design and manufacture bespoke potable water and final effluent booster sets, engineered specifically to meet the individual WIMES requirements of every water company we work with. By tailoring each system to its intended application, we deliver reliable, efficient, and fully compliant solutions that provide long-term performance and confidence in operation.
Project: Burham
Critical infrastructure, replaced without compromise
KGN Pillinger was awarded a contract to deliver seven bespoke booster set and break tank systems as part of a Final Enforcement Order (FEO) to replace critical site infrastructure. Each DWIcompliant, ALM-friendly system was designed around the client’s site-specific requirements, minimising on-site installation works while retaining the benefits of a fully packaged solution.
PROJECT: REDLYNCH
Built off site for a seamless fit on site.
We designed and manufactured a bespoke lamella feed buffer tank and pumping package tailored to the site’s specific hydraulic and process requirements. The buffer tank and pump set were engineered as complementary units, allowing them to be bolted directly together on site, reducing installation time, minimising mechanical assembly and ensuring seamless integration into the wider treatment process.
A lamella feed pumping package must deliver a stable and reliable flow to the clarification process while remaining easy to install and maintain. KGN Pillinger engineers each package to suit the client’s specific hydraulic and operational requirements, combining bespoke design with off-site manufacture to reduce on-site works, simplify installation and provide a robust, factory-tested solution.
PROJECT WARRINGTON SOUTH
Planning restrictions solved with a single skid
Due to planning permission constraints, a kiosk was installed to house only the local control panel rather than the complete booster set. To maintain the benefits of a packaged solution, the entire system was engineered as a single integrated skid. All pumps, motors, valves and instrumentation are suitably IP rated, corrosion protected, and, where required, fitted with anti-condensation heaters and thermistors for reliable operation.

A bespoke build from KGN Pillinger
As part of a major site upgrade, Earlswood STW required a more dependable wash water system to meet rising flow demands. The existing system lacked capacity and struggled to maintain consistent pressure during peak periods.
